Biography

Pilar Ibáñez is a Panamanian drummer, composer, and writer based between Boston and Panama City. She is currently pursuing a dual degree in Performance and Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music.

In addition to her work as a performer and session musician, Pilar leads her own solo project and has released two poetry collections, Lo que me dijo el silencio (2023) and Con la Cabeza en las Nubes (2025). She is an official artist for Gretsch Drums and ADV. Sound.
